An advantage of wooden slats is they have the ability to curve downwards and to adjust to fit your body shape. Therefore they are more comfortable than a rigid metal bed frame; the flexibility of the natural wood slats can replace some of the spring action of an innerspring mattress and emsemble base, so emsemble base is not necessary. The bed will be thinner and have storage space under the bed.

The "Relax" single bed with slatted frame, can have manually adjustable back and leg support.

Or it can come with a motor–driven frame, back and leg support with power–assisted adjustment.

Height of mounting bars for slatted frame can be adjusted in 4 stages (of 2 cm each). Lowest height is 26 cm. (Standard version — no extra charge).

Four–part mattress base, back and upper–leg rest as well as mattress height adjustable by electric motor, equipped with 24–volt drive system as standard. Lower–leg rest lowers manually on catch system. Subframe and mattress frame sealed by polyester powder coating, colour: topaz. Two sleeves integrated in head end of mattress surface for fitting a sit–up facility, subframe with feet, including levelling screws as well as four retaining bars for fixing in an existing bed. economic efficiency ⁄ easy mounting by one person
The price–performance ratio is exceptionally reasonable. Nevertheless there was no economizing concerning the construction and the material. Especially the use of high quality materials ensures Burmeier’s quality philosophy. The bed insert is mountable and dismountable by one person, without tools — and this within a few minutes!

electricity savings
By using the standard 24–volt drive technology in connection with an electronic switch mode power supply unit electricity costs can be reduced (compared with the conventional drive systems). At the same time the environment is protected.

Also with this system the maintenance intervals can be extended to 2 years (see user manual). Leakage current measurements at the bed insert in the interval of 10 years. Conditions for this can be enquired from Burmeier. Residents are protected in the best possible way, as all 240 volt powered components are outside the bed.
