Key Features at a Glance:
Safe working load: 225kg.
Linak drive system with 24 Volt power saving technology as standard: Clients and staff are optimally protected,
as all live 240 volt components are outside the bed (only 24 volts at the bed).
Selectively locking handset (for patient safety) with auto-contour and locking of individual functions.
If there is a Power outage, both bed and backrest can be lowered; providing the client with security and comfort.
Adjustable Retracting back support (0° – 70°) reduces compression of the stomach and together with the knee–break elevation,
plus upper-leg rest assists in optimising health and comfort.
Inovia II care comes standard with a tilt function which allows the bed to be transformed into a chair position.
4–section mattress base 900 x 2000mm ⁄ 1000 x 2000mm, with easy to clean, robust steel slats, metal colour “Titanium”.
Inovia II care can be lowered to a floor-to-bed height of just 220mm; providing increased safety to clients who are at risk of falling out of bed.
In the lowest position the bed rails can be kept down or completely removed.
Bed height can be adjusted through a range of 550mm (from 220mm to 770mm) which provides the staff with a vast option of suitable working heights.
This significantly reduces the risk of staff injury (i.e. reduced incidence of back, shoulder, neck & knee injuries)
Excellent hoist clearance allows the hoist to be moved in ⁄ out from underneath the bed.
This helps prevent injury to staff caused by struggling to push ⁄ pull the hoist out from underneath the bed,
where it can sometimes become caught. It also allows for the hoist to be positioned in the optimal position for client transfer,
ensuring the client remains well positioned and safe at all times during the transfer.
The castors can be locked in pairs, either front or back.
Wooden surround in beech finish with working timber areas melamine covered.
Wooden surround with integrated side frames.
Footboard with solid wood grip rail (also headboard as an option)
Integrated safety sides, protective height 410mm for mattress thicknesses of up to 190mm
Low maintenance and spare parts costs: maintenance intervals can be increased to 2 years and handsets are very sturdy.
Innovative, home-like appearance
Design
The timeless, innovative design underlies Burmeier's quality philosophy;
this bed looks very attractive and offers uncompromisingly high quality and durability — lifecycle of 20 years.
Mattress Height Adjustment – 220mm to 770mm
The innovative adjustment range of 550mm allows the nursing bed to be used as either a floorline bed or as a standard nursing bed.
The highest mattress position of 770mm allows nursing staff to work comfortably without stressing their backs.
Having beds according to type of use is no longer necessary. One bed for all cases; Inovia II Care Beds cater for all aged care clients:
Bariatric, Falls risks (eg Dementia specific),etc. Hence there is no need to purchase addtional Bariatric and Floor beds.
24 Volt Drive System as standard
The power pack with the transformer is contained in the mains plug housing itself.
This makes the system compact and keeps components off the floor.
By transforming the current inside the mains plug, the system works exclusively with safety extra-low voltage
and there are no 240 volt carrying components in close proximity to the occupant.
This prevents electromagnetic pollution at the bedside, ensuring a better environment and preventing any interference to other devices or pacemakers.
The extra-low voltage provides greater safety for those in need of care and for the operator of the bed.
The care bed has no current carrying components apart from when the handset is used. This significantly saves electricity.
The handset is ergonomically designed. Individual functions can be locked or unlocked for the occupant’s use.
The reliable LINAK actuator systems used are sturdy and are optionally available with an OpenBus drive system.
Tilt function to chair position
Inovia II care comes standard with a tilt function which allows the bed to be transformed into a chair position.
The seated ⁄ chair position provides a comfortable alternative for clients, and is also clinically beneficial.
This option and the variety of positions available in between the lying position and seated position,
assists in the prevention of pressure areas, promotes improved lung health and improved joint ⁄ muscle health
(i.e. assists with back pain, hip pain, knee pain, etc by allowing the client to be fully supported in a variety of positions).
The seated ⁄ chair position also allows a client to move from a lying position to a seated position without needing to be transferred at all,
which saves manual handling for both the client and staff (reducing their risk of injury).
In addition, it also allows the client to sit up and interact with their environment, whilst obtaining the clinical benefits of sitting.
Inovia II Care Bed with Optional Mobiflex TSG Telescopic Safety Sides
Standard Full length rails as standard (DSG): very sturdy rails that can be easily removed if you prefer to have no rails.
One side can be dropped down to facilitate a Half rail; providing the client with security but eliminating the restraint.
Optional Telescopic Side Rails (TSG): are split in the middle and can be positioned in 3 different height levels.
They can be adjusted across a range of settings to suit individual needs. When raised to the 1st level, they provide a sense of security without restricting mobility.
However, when raised to the 2nd level MobiFlex (TSG) will give residents complete safety all round.
Should the safety sides encounter an obstacle when the bed is lowered, they will remain in their position in order to avoid damages.
The ergonomically shaped grip rail is made of solid wood.
2. Fall protection height of side rails: approx. 410mm

5. 24V Power Supply

24 Volt drive system as standard
Having the 240 Volts isolated at the wall socket, away from the bed and only 24 Volts at the bed means a safer environment for resident and maintenance personal.
The switch mode of this system means that unlike other electric beds there is no current flowing through the bed control box and motors until a hand control button is pressed -
a substantial saving from not being on standby.
6. Retracting Back Support

The retracting backrest protects the resident against uncomfortable shearing forces while the mattress base
is adjusted and thus contributes to the prevention of pressure ulcers. The retraction of the backrest enlarges the seating area for the resident and
increases his comfort significantly.
7. Safe Working Load
Safe working load of 225kg. Suitable for heavier people. (weight includes mattress & accessories)
8. Under Bed Clearance
